The Virtual Etch-A-Sketch

The Virtual Etch-a-Sketch is a modern take on an old-fashioned children’s toy, which utilizes serial communication through p5.js to interact with a controller built with an Arduino to send input information and interact with a virtual canvas space. This was created as a team, and we wanted to take an old, well-known toy and recreate it in a modern, updated manner, and the Etch-a-Sketch caught our attention.
